Out to Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park. No signage at train station and park is secluded and difficult to find. My favorite piece: Upside Down, Kneeling (2008) by Sophie Rider. Apparently, this is part of a series. From afar it looks like stone kitsch but is rather a wireframe wrapped with a rigid gauzy metal mesh resembling a Pollock painting. The thing I realized about sculpture is that you have been rewarded by seeing it at a distance and/or close up and either should have some significance to the quotidian or to deep history. This is probably why monuments always work.
